Biography

 

Reda Abdel-Rahman Hassanein holds a doctorate of philosophy with his thesis on the subject of mural painting. His work focuses on the relationship between ancient Egyptian and contemporary art, in the mediums of painting, drawing and mosaics.

Occupation:
Instructor and teacher, Professional Education, Faculty of Education University of Menoufiya, 1990-1995

Associate Professor, Department of Teacher Education and Professional and Home Economics Faculty of Education University of the Suez Canal 1996-2000

In 2000 resigned from the university and work full-time to work and completed nearly ten thousand meters of murals and twelve pursuant dimensional fields in provinces south of the Red Sea, Sinai and Ismailia.

Practices:

Exercise arts, painting and photography, parallel drilling and sculpture

Exhibitions:

Established 16 special exhibitions in Egypt and abroad since 1984-2007
Participated in several collective exhibitions inside and outside Egypt since graduation
Participated in several international biennales, the most recent being, Gravure in Versailles, France

Acquisitions:

-Quite a number of acquisitions are in the Museum of Modern Art and Cultural, Development Fund and public, Public Authority for Cultural Palaces
-Municipal Museum of Versailles, France, and government premises, hotels and individuals in Egypt and abroad.

Contributions to collective action:

-Designed and built many of the wall paintings and statues field both the Red Sea and the South Sinai and Ismailia.
-Established the first printed plastic arts monthly in Egypt under the name Portrait and founded a gallery under the same name
-Established the first international Symposium for painting in Egypt 2007.
