My Neighbor

My piece is a hand-colored lithograph (one of a kind).
When planning my work, I considered the relationships
and needs that we share as neighbors on the earth; the
most basic are food, clothing and shelter. The figures
are centered in the abundance of the earth’s gifts. I
also thought of our Christian and Muslim shared roots as
children of Abraham; thus the stars of three faiths in
the sky. I drew the figures with hands outstretched in
shared work and respect for the resources given to us by
God.
