Artist's Statement
Peace and compassion become tangible when embraced from
within a non-dual perspective, where all is one, where
an integrative worldview requires the ability to see
beyond differences. Hegel said, "to transform is at once
both to negate and to preserve," in other words, to
transcend and include, to build emotional bridges to
link the narrow and outmoded with the expanded and the
new, to not view them in isolation, where one would
stagnate and the other vaporize, but rather view them in
conjunction, allowing for a richer and more luminous
reality to emerge, from which it is easy to see that
what occurs around us is a manifestation of our inner
state, collectively and individually. With this
awareness a cultivation of a culture of peace becomes
attainable.
