Biography
Dia
Makeen, born in 1953 in Cairo, graduated in 1976 with a
Bachelor Degree (Honours) Interior Architectural &
Decoration, Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University,
Egypt.
During the past 33 years, he has been involved with all
aspects of the Physical Projects and Business fields
including Industrial, Commercial and Residential
Development, Tourism Projects Development and
Management.
Dia had designed, and undertaken the supervision and
project management for many innovative projects, tourism
projects, villages and theme parks in Egypt and in many
countries of the world.
Dia did the coloring of the interior decoration and
walls of the Mosque of President Al-Saleh in Sanaa,
Yemen, which is the third largest mosque and has the
highest domes in the world
He has participated in the design of many world renowned
projects: i.e. the Crystal Mosque in Malaysia and the
unique and first ever of its kind, the "TTI", the
Islamic Art and architectural show and Theme Park
(Edutainment Park) in Malaysia
Dio was the first Arabic artist who exhibited his works
in Harrods, Knightsbridge, London.
More than 22 Art exhibitions in Egypt and abroad.

Member of Artists and Writers (Cairo Atelier)
Acquisitions
Many of acquisitions and private collections in Egypt
and abroad and in 5 stars hotels, at the Ministry of
Culture – Egypt, the Egyptian Culture Center – London,
the Egyptian Embassy – London, and at Harrods in London.
