Biography
I was born in an unorthodox family of filmmakers. Raised
in studios, film labs & editing suites; my world was
stories told in images. My father also had a passion for
painting. He provided space & materials for struggling
artists in his downtown office. In return, they taught
me how to paint. I was four at the time.
I took a degree in psychology, worked in film, theatre,
and advertising before finally established a film
production company. Fifteen years later I decided to
paint full-time.
For the following five years, I studied drawing in
Siginis’ studio & painting in CSM London where I
rediscovered my passion for oil, portraiture and
figurative work.
My first solo exhibition “Photo Album” was in January
2010 at Karim Francis gallery in downtown Cairo.
