Art Exhibition
"Caravan Festival of the Arts"
Harmony: East and West
46 premier Middle Eastern
and Western Artists
Throughout the week-long
CARAVAN Festival of the Arts the visual art
selling exhibition curated by artist Roland Prime was
open to the public, with many thousands coming to view
the art work displayed. The 46 premier Middle Eastern
and Western participating artists included a diverse
range, from one of Egypt’s leading contemporary artists,
Mohammed Abla, to renowned ceramicist Mohammed Mandour,
to expatriate artists Britt Boutros Ghali and Roland
Prime. Each artist submitted one piece of work that
reflected the title, “Harmony: East and West.”
Ten percent of all sales went to the Spirit of Giving
charity that supports Egyptian charities helping the
poor. The art exhibition was held inside the historic
St. John’s Church / Maadi, Cairo.
