Welcome Marhaba—Where East Meets West in Harmony
This painting illustrates a journey through Egypt and
the people encountered going about their daily lives.
Simples pleasures contrast with a basic will to survive
within a time of global conflict.
“Welcome Marhaba” expresses the instinctive warmth and
generosity of spirit extended to a stranger by the
Egyptian—“where East meets West”.
